Arctic Landscapes
By Tehanie Lifu
Captured in Tromsø, Norway.
I found myself on my first solo adventure in Tromsø, Norway, a magical and unique place that has been named the "Arctic's Capital", as it is the second largest city above the Arctic Circle. Growing up in the dense rainforest of Far North Queensland, Australia, where winters are defined by dry seasons and temperatures rarely dip below 17ºC, experiencing Arctic climates had always been a dream of mine.
During my ten day stay with Guri and her sweet dog, Sana, I had one of the most incredible and heartwarming experiences I could have hoped for. From feeding reindeer and immersing myself in a traditional Sámi experience to solo hiking through thick snow, witnessing the Northern Lights, and slowly watching the region lose its sunsets before being plunged into the darkness of the Polar Night.

Every moment truly felt like a dream, one that a small-town girl like me was lucky enough to live. Booking this trip was one of the best decisions I could have made for myself at this point in my life, and I’m so grateful to have had this experience - one I will cherish forever.
